Driver's Side
Transaxle Mount
Step One,
To replace this mount you will need to
put the car up on jack stands. Make sure
the car is stable and safely supported.

Then place jack under the transaxle.

Take drivers side tire off of the car.
Take the spash shield off for easier access.
I used a 10mm socket for the splash sheild bolt.
Step Two,
With 15mm socket and extension, remove
the bolt from the round access hole above frame rail.

Hole may have a rubber or metal cover sheild thata
you will need to remove to access bolt head.

Make sure jack is taking the weight off
of mount. After removing bolt,
lower jack and transaxle down.

Step three,
After you lower the transaxle as far as you can,
you will see the bracket that holds the mount.
Step Four,
Remove the three bolts shown by the red arrows.
Step Five,
Remove transaxle bracket from
the car. You will re-use this bracket.
Step Six,
The mount is held in by three tabs
bend these tabs up so the mount can be removed.
The new PolyBushings transaxle mount
is on the left. It will replace the mount insert
that is in the bracket shown.
Step Seven
You have bent up the tabs, now take a hammer
and push/tap the mount out of the bracket.
After removing the old mount, you can now
install the new poly mount.
Step Eight
Intall the new mount. You may need to pry
a little to install mount. Tap the new mount
down into the bracket. Getting it aligned square
will make it easier to install into the bracket.
Step Nine, l
After you have the mount all the way in
go to step ten.
Step Ten,
After you have the mount all the way
in, turn it over and bend the tabs over to
hold the mount into the bracket.
After bending them over with the pliers,
I used the hammer to flatten the tabs down.

Re-install bracket onto tranny using the three
bolts from step four.

Lift jack/transaxle, align (the hard part) the
trans mount with the hole from step two.

Install the bolt you took out in step 2.

NOTE,
Make sure you have the inner sleeve installed
into mount before installing mount into car.
Green arrow show the sleeve.
