Polyurethane and steel "Bobble Strut" Mount
Installation Instructions

Adjustable "bobble strut" for most 1995 to 1999 Neon cars.
This piece replaces the rear transaxle to k-frame shock mount

STEP 1
Raise and support your car on jack stands
or ramps.

CAUTION:
DO NOT work under a car supported
with just a jack!

Remove your original factory rear engine
strut. Our "bobble" strut comes with a new
larger bolt. You will need to file just a little to
make sure this bolt fits into k-frame tabs.

The factory upper bracket, where the strut
fits through, has a rubbber encased hole.
This factory piece often rips out, as shown
with the black arrow. We have included two
large flat washers to fix this.
The top factory bracket will be assembled
between the flat washers, as shown by the
black arrow.
STEP 2
Remove the nylock nut, top washer, first
grommet and first top large flat washer,
as shown.
STEP 3
Install strut into top mounting hole as shown.
You may need to loosen the two nuts and
pull down the grommet to fit. The blue arrow
is showing the location of the large flat washer.
STEP 4
Install supplied bolt and washer through
k-frame tabs and lower strut mount. Add
washer and nut to the other side.
STEP 5
Tighten, no need to over tighten, as the
nylock will not let it come loose. Over tightening
will just let more vibration through to passenger
compartment. So snug is all you need here!
STEP 6
Tighten the upper adjusting nut to push the
grommet up to the upper mounting bracket.
Tighten hard by hand, that is all the pre-load
really needed. If you feel you need more
pre-load after driving your car, it can be
adjusted more later.

Take two wrenches (3/4") and tighten the
two nuts together, this will lock them from
loosening up.
STEP 7
Install upper large flat washer, grommet,
smaller washer and nylock nut to the top
of the bobble strut. Tighten nut only to
"snug" but not as to squish the grommets.

You have finished, go enjoy your car.

If you have any questions about i
nstallation or our bobble strut, please
call, we will be glad to try to answer any
questions you may have.
